Camera is in mint condition, was a back-up camera for my 1D. The body is in mint condition, the box is like new, all packaging is in place if you want to make it a present. Close to 6,000 shots fired; the shutter for this model was certified for 100,000 actuations. This is a camera body only offer, no lenses, not a kit. Shipping by Fedex within 48 states is included in price: $1,000 ( one thousand). I am from Portland, OR area. I also have 85mm L for sale: $1,250. Also mint. That's the first iteration of the lens, not the 85L MkII The hood has scuffs, the lens itself is mint, razor-sharp wide open. No boxes, no papers except from bill of sale from MidWest Exchange - the folks I bought it from. My wife keeps hers (she has 2 more) and I want to try an MkII next spring. If it wasn't for the handicap/possibility of loosing focus with fast/erratic moving objects, like kids & pets, she would have a point....just like large-format viewfinder camera's require a different attitude (and especially today also *gain* a different attitude from people....:)) OTOH, it does have FTM for ergonomic pre-focus, unlike the older/first 100mm/f2.8 macro. *Without* FTM even a *fast*-focus lens would not be as nice/ergonomic....;)) (it's the main reason why I, many many moons ago, switched from Minolta AF to EOS....:)) -- Bye, Willem-Jan Markerink The desire to understand is sometimes far less intelligent than the inability to understand <w.j.markerink@...> [note: 'a-one' & 'en-el'!] * **** ******* *********************************************************** * For list instructions, including unsubscribe, see: * http://www.a1.nl/phomepag/markerink/eos_list.htm *********************************************************** |

EOS : Max pixel count on an EOSHi All:
I have a wild thought. Most of the digital PS cameras are using tiny digital sensor measuring at most 1/4 of a full 135 frame in length. That means in an area of 24x36mm it can hold at least 16 of such sensors. Now we see the Canon G7 comes with 10 Million pixel, and 16 of those means 160 Megapixel. Let's forget about the absolute lens sharpness needed. My question is, does anyone (company) thought of producing such a camera commercially by 'stitching' sensors? We are used to stitched panorama, satellite images etc. etc. How difficult/feasible it is to stitch sensors? If there's a 160MP 1DS Mk-100, how much would it cost? Thanks. regards, HSH ____________________________________________________________________________________ Cheap talk? Check out Yahoo!
