EBM WebSourcing is looking for junior Java Engineers to join the PEtALS team.
Located in Toulouse or Grenoble (France), this position will report directly to the CTO.
PEtALS is an open source software development project dedicated to deliver an industrial class JavaTM Business Integration (JBI) open source platform, providing lightweight and packaged integration solutions, based on JSR-208 specifications, with a high focus on distribution and clustering (
http://petals.objectweb.org/ ).
Responsibilities :
The Junior Java Engineer will work closely with senior architects and other team members in high-level activities (e.g. product analysis, technical solution design, other ObjectWeb projects integration, optimization etc.) related to all phases of the PEtALS life cycle. Additionally he will contribute actively to the day-to-day technical issues of the project, as well as develop and perform unit and integration testing. This person will attend meetings/conferences and will work in collaboration with other open source projects in an international context: Europe, US, China, Brazil
Ultimately this person will be positioned to lead small teams of developers.
Requirements:
* First experience with the Java programming language
* Experience with Junit test methodologies
* Experience with XML and XML Schema
* Experience with Web Services programming
* Good level in technical English: documentation writing, conferences and meetings
Optional Experience:
* Experience with java middleware (JMS, J2EE
)
* Experience with JBI spec
* Experience with WS-* specs
* Familiarity with SVN version control
Education
Engineer or Master Degree in software engineering or information technology.
