EAC freezes while burning on Vista computerFor years I've used and loved EAC for extracting and burning discs,
but I just bought a new Vista Quad Core computer that I cannot get EAC to burn with. I've tried loading different versions of EAC on it, including the latest version, 0.99 Pre Beta 3, and they all have the same problem. When burning a disc, the program starts fine, but freezes after a few seconds in a manner that requires that I reboot the entire computer. The data counter stops at 6.12mb, and the the track progress bar stalls at "writing lead in." The timer keeps running, but everything else stops. Extracting with EAC works with no problems. I've searched the net for a solution to this problem without success. Any ideas as to what may be causing this? Thanks! |

I don't know Vista, but in XP there's a "compatibility" option which I'd try as a first recourse. Right-click the EAC icon and head for that tab. Mike -- mrichter@... http://www.mrichter.com/ |

Re: EAC freezes while burning on Vista computerDear Kevin
I had this in XP once, the way to fix it is to change your ASPI driver. See the FAQs for details on how. Also you'll probably find the CDs are NOT damaged ot have NOT been written to in anyway, co chek them, don't chukc em, till you have.
