Draft Web Re-Design RFP is Available

I just attached attached a draft RFP as a Word document to this page:  http://www.ja-sig.org/wiki/x/PgCF

I aimed to incorporate all the relevant requirement information from our wiki into the one document to make it easier for vendors to respond.

I'd like to keep the draft open for comments for one week.  If anyone would like to make revisions directly to the draft, please track your changes.  Otherwise, please send comments/feedback to this list.

After next Friday, July 18th, I will send the RFP out to the lists recommended on this page:  http://www.ja-sig.org/wiki/x/DRjP.  I plan to ask for responses within three weeks.

If you would like to join a committee to evaluate the responses and select a vendor, please let us know.  I will set up a secure page for posting responses to protect vendor proprietary interests, so include your Confluence login ID too.

Thanks,
Jonathan

Looks ok to me.

I think it should be noted that some items (development of tagline and statement of JA-SIG scope) will require significant input from the BOD and/or community. I am not sure how much the contractor can contribute to those.

Membership should be mentioned in 'About JA-SIG' section.

It would be nice to be able to draft news for publication at a later date (i.e., publish this starting 8/1/08 8am). Events should be able to be easily added by a delegated administrator as well.

Also true that a good deal of the other content referenced will need
to be written anew or re-written by us.

Events--and all other content--are *only* going to be added by
delegated administrators, i.e., community members who have been
authorized to add/edit/delete content in the CMS.  If this is not a
shared understanding, please speak up!
