I'm downsizing my over abundant computer 'collection'...

This stuff is best offer (that includes free if local pickup (Sharon, MA
02067).

Almost free if local pickup in Cambridge (zip 02040) (I'd want something for
hauling it to work, but less than if you want something shipped).

And finally, if shipped, nothing is free... I need something to cover
the time/effort
of packing, packing materials, etc.  Anything shipped, you pay shipping
(based on
weight using online shipping calculator).

Note, the Crystal computers listed below are rackmount PCs that use PICMG
SBCs.  They are not 19" rackmount, but instead go into a Crystal rack
mounting
'system'.  The CS500s are not much wider than a 3.5" floppy drive, are about
7" tall, and 18" or so deep.  The CS900 is a tad wider than a 5.25" CD,
same depth
as the CS500s, and same height.  I also have a CS600 which is 19" wide,
2U, but
I'm currently keeping that one.

Here is the list:

Sparcstation 20 (unsure of procs/mem, 1 or 2 drives (2G as I recall))
Apple Macintosh Performa 630CD (flaky/bad hd)
Compaq 1850R rackmount PC (dual slot 1, has PII, should do up to dual
PIII-600, no drives)
Compaq Proliant 1600 tower (has LCD/buttons, no drives, dual PIII-550,
possibly RAID card)
Dell Dimension XPS T600 (slot 1 PIII-600)
iMac DV SE
Crystal CS500 (dual slocket 7 PICMG board)
Crystal CS500 (slot 1 PII-350 ? PICMG board)
Crystal CS500 (slot I PII-350 ? PICMG board)
Crystal CS900 (slot 1 PIII? PICMG board)
Sparengine 20 in Sparcstation 10 (currently I think no CPUs/RAM/Drives)
Apple Macintosh LC with monitor in carrying case
SGI Indy R4K (fastest R4K (for Indy) CPU (forget speed/cache)), no
drives, unsure of ram
SGI Indy R5K (fastest R5K (for Indy) CPU (forget speed/cache)), no
drives, unsure of ram
Apple Macintosh IIcx (possibly funky power supply)
Sun Ultra 10 (333 cpu 2M cache, no hd, unsure of ram config)
Sun Ultra 10 (333 cpu 2M cache, no hd, unsure of ram config, damaged
case (but usable))
Apple Macintosh Quadra 650 (unsure of drive/ram config)
Apple Macintosh IIsi (very clean)
Sparcstation 20 (bare)
Sparcstation 20 (bare)
Sparcstation 10 (bare)
Sparcstation 10 (bare)
Apple PowerMac 7100/66
Apple Macintosh Centris 650 (with LC CPU upgraded to 'full' 68040)
Packard Bell slim desktop upgraded with Pentium Pro mobo (believe has
333MHz Overdrive)
Apple Macintosh LCIII
Apple Macintosh LCIII
Apple Macintosh LCIII

possibly more to come.

This stuff is best offer.  I'm looking to reclaim space.  If best offer
is Free, that is
acceptable, but you have to pick up.

If you want to know more about a particular config, or you want some
additional
parts with it (drives, memory, cpus, etc), then I'll want something for
additional
parts added.

The main goal here is to begin to reclaim my house (I have 124+
computers between
the computer room, upstairs hallway, and basement).

If no-one offers money for these:

I'd be interested, and am able to pick up from your home.

Peace...  Sridhar

What is required to interface with one of these Crystal computers?

They are PCs.  To learn more about Crystal go to www.crystalpc.com.

They use PICMG backplanes and can take any PICMG SBC (single board computer)
that will fit in them (and doesn't exceed the power supplies output of
course (no
different from any other computer in that regard)).

Here is the Cyrstal CS500:

http://www.crystalpc.com/products_details.asp?Product_Id=13&ProductLine_Id=2

and the CS900:

http://www.crystalpc.com/products_details.asp?Product_Id=31&ProductLine_Id=5

The 3 CS500s I have are used, but the CS900 is new (I bought it from
Crystal before
the 'cube' PC form factor and then never used it (sigh)).

I might have bites on the Indy (at least the R5K).  I'll get you the
scoop on the R4K
Indy(s) I have soon.

The IICX, Quadra 650, Centris 650 (turns out does have LC cpu, I must
have been
thinking of a different Centris 650 that had a full 040).  The IIsi
appears should be
available as well.

Is there anything else you are looking for ?

I have a IIfx (two actually, one in a genuine IIfx case, one in a
'straight' II case).
I have a Workgroup Server 95 (w/o the special board, so it is basically
a quadra
950).  Those would not be free however.

I have other things as well when you come... you can look around the
basement
computer storage area.  Might not be much more free stuff at the moment
though.

When would you want to pick up (I will have to get back to you on the
IIsi and
the R4K Indy(s)).

Sridhar,

All the Macs above are still available.  The Centris 650 does have an LC CPU
(must have got it mixed up with another Centris 650 I had at one point).

I believe I have a motherboard from a 7100 that I planned to put in a
Centris/
Quadra 650 case at some point...  not sure if you'd be interested in
that too.

I have a Workgroup Server 95 that I'm not sure I listed on the original
list...
I think I'd like a few $ for that one... unsure if you'd have any
interest.  The
WGS95 'board' was removed which converts it to a Quadra 950, and I don't
have that board (think A/UX was the only thing that ran on it unless you
removed that board.... once removed it operated as a Q950 and people would
just load MacOS).

The SGIs are here, but are on hold for someone.  I do have an R5K Indy I was
going to keep for myself, but I'd want a few $ to give it up... feel
free to make
an offer on my personal R5K Indy (I think it too is Sans drives (I never
built it
up yet), and unsure what (if any) memory is in it... although I know I
tested it
with a loaner drive from another Indy at one time, so I know it works).

Let me know what boxes you'd still like to pick up for free, and if you
are interested
in the WGS95 or my personal R5K Indy (in which case make offers).

On the free stuff, money is tight... so any donation appreciated, but
not required.

You are also welcome to look around at the other stuff while you are
here.... that
basement room is quite full.
