Do PDFs Indicate Valid Input To Be Used?

Greetings!

Is there anything in a PDF file that might indicate what values a
field can be set to?

For example:
Can a PDF file indicate that a date field should be formatted a
certain way such as mm/dd/yyyy?
Is there something that indicates whether a checkbox is checked if the
field is Y/Yes/1 or something?

Thanks!
Matthew Hanna

That is done with javascript and is not supported in itextsharp.

See AcroFields.GetAppearanceState().
