D = Hi Mas Leo, I am tempted to give my two cent's worth on a non-controversial topic. Yang kontroversi hanya untuk pendekar2 exhibitionist saja kan! But some of them are so hilarious, it made my day (yang dokter gigi itu). Speaking for myself (the wet blanket), man and woman are two different species. That's number one to be aware of.

L = Different species ? Really ? I was NOT aware of it before, hmmm hmmm hmmm...

D = Two, men are soo easily stimulated, women are more sentimental. Three, men do this for physical gratification, women, emotional. Because they are two different species we can't expect the one to have the same qualities as the other.

L = Yeah, it has BEEN supposed to be like that since I can remember.

D = Dogs are not cats (no offence meant to them). If these match, (i.e. they meet the person who stimulates them and who they are sentimental about) then we've found the 'right' partner and we don't look around for more gratification of one or the other kind, you just simply learn together. Those who look for adventures simply have no idea of how to spend their energy. As everything else, what all this is about, is energy. They play with fire, and they can get into very stupid situations (for which I'd say they deserve it). Human beings are very complex, even if it is a professional relationship (I give you service and you give me money) someone is going to get hurt sometime somehow.

L = Sure, I KNOW that to be true. Even PSK (Pekerja Seks Komersial) have emotions, too. And sometimes they fall in love with their clients. I remember counseling with women prostitutes who shed tears from their eyes when realizing that the men they love will never come back.

D = There are women, though oozing with sex without trying, who'd look at some men as if they are a certain quizzical speciment, and they'd study the men with clinical eyes. They'd think to themselves, "..this pleading to get into bed with him is not new. It is his raging hormone taking control. It is the primordial instinct to procreate but he doesn't know it (the silly sod). I shall not have anything to do with this. No malice but, goodbye.. "  That's what some women think of pathetic men who don't see beyond their you know what. And who are incapable of seeing women more than their body, or worse, who see women as technicians! Sheesh! Talk about being spiritual.. I am reminded of one of Roahl Dahl's books not meant for children, My Uncle Oswald, you might enjoy it, as I did, (I bet you don't have it in Indonesian!)

L = No we don't have that in Indonesia... Well, I could get at what you say. Some men are sooo stupid that women can get a better hand in DRIVING the relationship. Men who have their TOOLS controlling them can expect to fall into that not too beneficial category of womenly-driven men who would do almost anything to have their TOOL serviced with THAT oily something.

Some other men are sooo smart, however, that they would always make the women feel inferior by any means. And the sooo stupid women, though they complain about it a lot, would nonetheless submit to this dehumanizing treatment because of their financial or emotional dependence, inside or outside the social institutions which usually include religions and traditions, but not always. Sometimes living together COULD be parasitic to the emotions, too.

So, I MIGHT say about the situation using as neutral as possible term that BOTH men and women are naturally inclined to be MANIPULATIVE. Like atracts like. Those who like to manipulate are attracted to those who like to be manipulated. That's the childish game played in the earlier part of OUR lives. All of us do that to some degree. Some of us CAN escape from it later on, while the rest is "destined" to live with it all their lives.
