Demo Version limit has been reached

Switched to 2004.6 awhile back (on MacOSX) .  Now after I use ³Build App²,
choosing Build Standalone Volume License Sponsored,
I can open fine, but as soon as I create a new record and attempt to save, I
get the ³demo version limit has been reached² message and can¹t save the
record.
I am not doing a demo version, so what¹s the deal?  It all worked fine in
2003 version.

Hi Del,

All current 4D products will run in "demo mode" in the absence of
licenses.  So it sounds like your merged application does not have any
licenses.  Perhaps this will help?

Leopard and 2004.7

When I try to delete a record and click ok or cancel in the "Are you
sure you want to delete this record", clicking does nothing. Command
period will cancel and return will delete the record. Is this a
leopard thing?

Thanks

Sheets seem to be broken with the Max OS X 10.5.2 update. They worked
fine with 10.5.1 and earlier.

We'll need to wait for a fix from 4D for this. You can change your
sheets to modal dialogs until then (if you have access to the source).

Converting to v11 sql

by Pete Seabolt :: Rate this Message:

I have 2003.x and 2004.x structures with subtables. After conversion
to v11. If I kill the special subtable links a rewrite the code for
tables, will  I be able to use data from 2003.x. In other words will
the new converted structure open 2003.x data files containing
subtables and move the data to the correct table with the special
subtable link missing?

Thanks

I gave it a try and the subrecords are not imported nor is the linking
feels created.
