The religious right isn't the only source of hypocrisy.  It was recently revealed that Gavin Newsom, the liberal mayor of San Francisco, had an affair with his campaign manager's wife. And his campaign manager was also one of his best friends.

So what does Newson do?  He starts moralizing against prostitution and shuts down massage parlors in this traditionally tolerant city.

Let's face it, America is one of the only countries in the world where prostitution is illegal, and this can only be the result of hypocrisy across the political spectrum.
