I've noted the mention of getting EVs registered, so I figured I'd add mine to the list (and perhaps soon to the evalbum). Today was the maiden voyage of my now-completed Gizmo. I was able to get it registered a couple weeks ago and in the interim time, got all the accessories and wiring in place. Today, it all came to a head.
I'm not sure how many years ago that this particular Gizmo (#30) last traveled under its own power, but today's test trip was an interesting experience. I traveled in circles in my neighborhood, reaching speeds of 30 mph in very short blocks, but mostly taking it very easy, to keep the batteries happier. After three miles, I'd had enough and rolled back into the garage for the second charge cycle on the pack.
A few minor things to address, of course.
