DWR Development Question

Hello,

I'll try and make this as easy to understand as possible.  I am trying to develop a new search screen based on DWR.  Basically within the company there are separate business units that can all use the case search functionality.  The search criteria and the search results table for each unit is slightly different.  My initial plan is to build a generic search screen that loads custom fragments for each different unit (using JSP:include tags) but the grunt work is performed by the javascript on the main page.

When a user performs a search DWR will go to the back end and get a list of search results that is used to dynamically build the search results on the screen.  This is where my problem lies - I have a CaseSearchCriteria interface bean that specific beans implement.  My CaseSearchService has one function - search(ICaseSearchCritera criteria) that is to be exposed via DWR.  My problem is that DWR can't seem to convert Interface objects - is there a simple way around this?
