DJ Tron, last conversationMy last exchange with Jeff involved a fearful confession of his own personal wretchedness. He mentioned feeling his entire being breaking down. Even before his girlfriend left, the depth of Jeff's pain and emptiness was harrowing.
He answered a couple terse questions of mine with a few disclosures of how much worse he was doing (and had been for years and years) than others realized. He also insisted those details remain discreet. They are, however, part of why he didn't have any desire to have children- exposing them to a life like his. He was working on an autobiography. People sometimes do that when they're empty and they've wrestled out so much. I don't know about his body, but Jeff's inner self died of thirst. And I promised despite all naysayers, and I haven't the slightest doubt Jeff would've wanted the same, to proclaim water for the thirsting, liberty for the captives, good news to the poor, and healing to the afflicted. Everyone who thirsts, come to the waters; and you that have no money, come, buy and eat! Come, buy wine and milk without money and without price. Why do you spend your money for that which is not bread, and your labour for that which does not satisfy? Listen carefully to me, and eat what is good, and delight yourselves in rich food. Incline your ear, and come to me; listen, so that you may live. I will make with you an everlasting covenant, my steadfast, sure love for David. See, I made him a witness to the peoples, a leader and commander for the peoples. See, you shall call nations that you do not know, and nations that do not know you shall run to you, because of the Lord your God, the Holy One of Israel, for he has glorified you. Seek the Lord while he may be found, call upon him while he is near; let the wicked forsake their way, and the unrighteous their thoughts; let them return to the Lord, that he may have mercy on them, and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon. For my thoughts are not your thoughts, nor are your ways my ways, says the Lord. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts. For as the rain and the snow come down from heaven, and do not return there until they have watered the earth, making it bring forth and sprout, giving seed to the sower and bread to the eater, so shall my word be that goes out from my mouth; it shall not return to me empty, but it shall accomplish that which I purpose, and succeed in the thing for which I sent it. For you shall go out in joy, and be led back in peace; the mountains and the hills before you shall burst into song, and all the trees of the field shall clap their hands. Instead of the thorn shall come up the cypress; instead of the brier shall come up the myrtle; and it shall be to the Lord for a memorial, for an everlasting sign that shall not be cut off. - that's Isaiah 55. And this is part of John 4: He had to go through Samaria on the way. Eventually he came to the Samaritan village of Sychar, near the field that Jacob gave to his son Joseph. Jacob’s well was there; and Jesus, tired from the long walk, sat wearily beside the well about noontime. Soon a Samaritan woman came to draw water, and Jesus said to her, “Please give me a drink.” He was alone at the time because his disciples had gone into the village to buy some food. The woman was surprised, for Jews refuse to have anything to do with Samaritans. She said to Jesus, “You are a Jew, and I am a Samaritan woman. Why are you asking me for a drink?” Jesus replied, “If you only knew the gift God has for you and who you are speaking to, you would ask me, and I would give you living water.” “But sir, you don’t have a rope or a bucket,” she said, “and this well is very deep. Where would you get this living water? And besides, do you think you’re greater than our ancestor Jacob, who gave us this well? How can you offer better water than he and his sons and his animals enjoyed?” Jesus replied, “Anyone who drinks this water will soon become thirsty again. But those who drink the water I give will never be thirsty again. It becomes a fresh, bubbling spring within them, giving them eternal life.” |

I am a memeber of the orginal church, the oldest and unchanged church in the world. The catholics split from us in 1054.. and no my faith does not look down on hardcore, nor do our bishops have problems watching horror movies or driking beer with us followers. Did I say that our faith has not changed in 2000 years? The Nasty tone that people have gotten towards Christians in recent times, is towards a certain sect, not towards those that truly follow. Let me give you an example of our faith. We accept Darwinism. The belief we have is, you need to accept that God is the reason that the evolution occurred, not that it didn't. There is a big difference then what most people are exposed to as Christians, especially Americans. Funny thing is my orthodox family has been in the US for over 120 years since they escaped the Czar. -- Skinner Black Monolith Records Fear Records http://blackmonolith.con --------------------------------------------------------------------- http://gabber.org To unsubscribe, e-mail: gabber-unsubscribe@...
