I had to go to Georgetown DMV this morning to change my address, due to a move. Seemingly, every other organization on the planet has some sort remote capability to make this minor change--either online or by mail--not so for the District's DMV. One must appear in person. They even wanted a new mugshot for the license.
Couple of notes:
1) Pay in cash, the wait is much, much shorter than paying with credit.
2) There seem to be no shortage of plate stickers for motorcycles. My "08" sticker with the correct residential parking zone was proferred without any prompting on my part. The clerk seemed to be on the ball. "Oh, this is a motorcycle, let me get you the right sticker, Mr Wilson."
P in DC, now Zone 1 instead of Zone 6.
