Configuring appliancesHi
I've just filed a new feature request for an easier appliance configuration method. Roman, let me know if you are keen on taking this, and what you think about the approach:) cheers F ------------------------------------------------------------------------- This SF.net email is sponsored by the 2008 JavaOne(SM) Conference Don't miss this year's exciting event. Re: Configuring appliancesHi,
Francesco, you wrote it right on time. I've just listened to presentation on Apache Felix, which is OSGi implementation. It's actually very cool and I believe this is what we need (at least I couldn't find anything else besides OSGi). It allows dynamic adding/removing of components in real time. I would suggest to give it a try from the very beginning. It doesn't seem as a load of work (at least from the demo during presentation), so it would not be a waste of time anyway. Here is an example and the presentation: http://felix.apache.org/site/apache-felix-application-demonstration.html http://felix.apache.org/site/presentations.data/felix-apachecon-20071114.pdf Let me know what you think. Re: Configuring appliancesthis is cool actually:))
I've got to catch this flight now, but as you know I'm all up for these kind of things:) As for the integration with atalaya, the only thing that can't change right now is the dependency between an appliance and its appliancecomponentbuilder, that is responsible of adding aop stuff to the components on the fly. talk to you tomorrow, ciao F On Wed, Apr 9, 2008 at 4:23 PM, Roman Kalyakin <theorm@...> wrote: Hi, ------------------------------------------------------------------------- This SF.net email is sponsored by the 2008 JavaOne(SM) Conference Don't miss this year's exciting event.
