Change keyboard shortcuts?

Is it possible to change keyboard shortcuts for Firebug?  I'm on Mac
OS X 10.5, and F12 opens dashboard.  I want to open the Firebug Panel
using command+F12 rather than that opening Firebug in a Window.

Is there a file in my profile somewhere I can edit?

I didn't check, but I guess the firebug xpi file can be edited to
change the key mapping. However, this will be overridden and has to be
redone whenever a new version is installed.
