I am importing files from Carlson Survey 2007 Standalone (a land survey specific CAD program). I can import the CAD file in layers. The problem I am having is obtaining attributes from Carlson and being able to list and analyze them in ArcMap. My points in Carlson are generated from GPS readings. If I click on a point in Carlson I get a list of attributes (point ID, northing, easting, elevation, and a description). Carlson will export an ASCII file, but will that be useful in ArcMap? If so, how do I use it?
The attribute tables associated with the CAD layers imported from Carlson just give me the attributes of the drawing itself, not the data the drawing represents. Any help?
