Just wanted to report I bought a Canon S5 IS, tried to use gphoto2 to capture images. No problems, works great. Works better then my A640.

If someone wanted to update the list of remote controllable cameras, its an 8 mega pixel camera, and everything seems to work (I set about 6 options).

My version of gphoto, if anyone cares:

[root@localhost /]# gphoto2 --version
gphoto2 2.4.0

Hi Tripp,

which options can you remotely control on your camera? In particular,
can you remotely set the exposure time and ISO speed with gphoto2?

Thanks,

Moreno.

I set the apeture, shutterspeed, zoom level, shooting mode (manual or automatic), flash mode, and assist light.

So I set shutterspeed/exposure time, but I have not tried setting ISO. I probably should be setting it :)

I don't have the camera handy at the moment, other wise I would test it for yah.
