Call for translations of debian-refcard (update)

Hi,

an update regarding the Debian reference card:

Many thanks to Jens Seidel and Martin Zobel-Helas (de), Gunnar
Wolf (es), SZERVÁC Attila (hu), Hans F. Nordhaug (nb), Peter
Mann (sk), Martin Bagge (sv), Clythie Siddall (vi) for their
translations! (Did I forget someone?)

Work is needed for the other existing translations:

bg, ca, cs, da, el, eu, fi, fr, gl, he, it, ja, nl, pl, pt_BR,
pt_PT, ro, ru, tr, uk, zh_CN

For eu, fi and tr, there are translators, but maybe they could
need support. (Again, did I forget someone?) Contact me, if you
can help. Translations into other languages are welcome, too!

What to do first?

- Contact me before you start working on a translation. I will
  coordinate to prevent duplicated work.

How to submit?

- If you have write access to the Debian documentation projects
  SVN repository at:
  svn://svn.debian.org/svn/ddp/manuals/trunk/refcard/po4a
  just commit, but please, run "make tidypo" before committing.
  ("make tidypo" normalises the layout of the po file.)

- You can also send me a patch (with SVN revision number) or the
  complete po file via mail.

Deadline?

- For having a translation in lenny, you need to hurry! But of
  course, the work on the refcard will not stop with the freeze
  next week.

It is under work in the French team. Jean-Luc Coulon who took this in
charge is someone quite reliable but also quite careful in his
translation work so it will come....when it's ready..:-)


Please note this is a big task anyway, so it's fairly logical that it
takes time.

Here we go:

1. Check out the code:
   $ svn co svn://svn.debian.org/svn/ddp/manuals/trunk/refcard
   (you have to have subversion installed for that)

2. Edit po4a/pt_BR.po in your favourite po-Editor (e.g. poedit,
   Emacs po-mode, ...). Most strings are already translated, but
   need a review. "Unfuzzy" all.

3. Run "make tidypo" afterwards, so that the format of the po
   file is diff-friendly.

4. Check-in (svn commit) the file, if you have write access, or
   just send it to me via mail.

Easy, isn't it?

I still do not have commit access to the repository. I will send to you
after the review process.

Before to send to l10n-portuguese for review, how can I check if the
translation fit (or might not) on one sheet?

In fact, don't fit. I couldn't build the English version with make
refcard-en-a4.pdf (seg fault) and the version available in
http://www.xinocat.com/refcard/ is outdated, so I can't compare the
original and the translated version to try reduce strings to fit A4 paper.

Attached you can find the pt_BR.po.

I also sent it to l10n-portuguese team, to review process.

The build of pt_BR version works fine. :)

But it don't fit, as you said.

We would like to use the refcard in the Debian Day[1], so if you need
