Hi,
I am really sorry for the previous message. I am Akshat Gupta, a GSOC 08
student. I have been working on cairo bindings over php. I have written the
extension and would like to add it to PECL.
The extension can be found at http://repo.or.cz/w/phpCairo.git

I am really sorry for the trouble caused.
Regards,
Akshat

Can you update the extension to the 3.01 version of the PHP License. I
know some Debian folk get unhappy about pecl extensions that use 3.0
since the terms are technically not correct.

--enable-phpCairo should probably be --with-cario and allow an optional
prefix for cairo to find libs / headers.

The version of the extension should ideally be in the header file and
use a -dev suffix for development. See
http://wiki.php.net/rfc/peclversioning/solution1#requirements

I've not yet looked at the actual code though to check it works.

It does not really matter if it works or not, it should be in CVS
asap. So we can easily review it and help.
