CUPS driver localization changes...All,
I've updated the CUPS raster driver to generate localized INFO, ERROR, and WARNING messages. In many cases I've removed the "Gutenprint" prefix from these messages and/or reworded them to be more user- friendly - feel free to suggest improvements! All I have left is a change to genppd to create globalized PPD files. -- ______________________________________________________________________ Michael R Sweet Senior Printing System Engineer ------------------------------------------------------------------------- This SF.Net email is sponsored by the Moblin Your Move Developer's challenge Build the coolest Linux based applications with Moblin SDK & win great prizes Grand prize is a trip for two to an Open Source event anywhere in the world http://moblin-contest.org/redirect.php?banner_id=100&url=/ _______________________________________________ Gimp-print-devel mailing list Gimp-print-devel@... https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/gimp-print-devel |

From: Michael R Sweet <msweet@...> I've updated the CUPS raster driver to generate localized INFO, ERROR, and WARNING messages. In many cases I've removed the "Gutenprint" prefix from these messages and/or reworded them to be more user- friendly - feel free to suggest improvements! All I have left is a change to genppd to create globalized PPD files. I want to have the Gutenprint prefix in *all* of the messages to help track down what's going on, even if it is a bit less "friendly". If you're trying to track down a problem, and can't figure out where the message came from, it's *extremely* unfriendly. As for the debug messages, I wanted those extra spaces between "Gutenprint" and what follows to help follow the error messages (via indentation). If you want to change "Gutenprint" to "Gutenprint:" that's OK, but I want the spacing preserved. It really makes it a lot easier to grovel through the output. -- Robert Krawitz <rlk@...> Tall Clubs International -- http://www.tall.org/ or 1-888-IM-TALL-2 Member of the League for Programming Freedom -- mail lpf@...
