CAnt log into DA with dmadmin

Hello All, I am having a weird problem. Using Documetum DA and Content
Server 6 SP1. Everything installed great, but I am unable to loginto
the global repository using the dmadmin account I get a 'We're sorry,
authentication failed' error message. However, I am able to loginto
the global repository using the globalrep's user name and pass. What
gives? I know the dmadmin/pass are correct, I can log into the server
with them. I also double checked to makre sure all the root task
commands ran (double checked dm_check_password permissions and
ownership). Very frustrated by this, never had any problems on prior
documentum installs like this....THANKS!

FYI:

Linux OS 4.5
64-bit running in 32 bit emulation

I assume this is a new repository, not an upgrade.  Please correct me if
I'm wrong.

Are "dmadmin" and "globalrep" the only users in the reposotory?

A few things you may check:

Have you tried creating another user while logged in as "globalrep"?

While logged into the server as "dmadmin", can you run iapi or idql?
Are these throwing errors or allowing you in?

Are there any errors in the repository's log file
($DOCUMENTUM/dba/log/<repository_name>.log?

Are the Documentum jobs running?   These usually run as the "dmadmin"
user.

The answers to these questions may help debug your issue further.
