Hi All,

If you're interested using OpenSync on Solaris, please allow me
introduce a easy/fast way here.

What you will need
==================
 - OS: Solaris Express Developer Edition (SXDE)
 - Compiler: SunStudio 10/11/12
 - Build Env: Common Build Enviroment (CBE) [2]

Check out spec files
==========================
$svn co
https://pkgbuild.svn.sourceforge.net/svnroot/pkgbuild/spec-files-extra/trunk spec-files-extra

$svn co svn+ssh://anon@.../svn/jds/spec-files/trunk
spec-files

Build OpenSync with spec files
==============================
$cd spec-files
$pkgtool --download build SUNWsqlite3.spec

$cd ../spec-files-extra
$pkgtool --download build SFEcmake.spec SFEcheck.spec SFEswig.spec \
 SFEwbxml.spec SFEpython-httplib.spec SFEopenobex.spec \
 SFElibsyncml.spec SFElibopensync.spec SFEmsynctool.spec \
 SFElibopensync-plugin-*.spec

Is this link stable for a longer time? If yes then I would place it on
the wiki pages for the updated SyncML plugin.

Best regards

Michael

building as root is not recommended; the user running the
next commands needs the following permissions; build is my username
in /etc/user_attr
build::::profiles=Software Installation

svn does not honor the http_proxy variable; If you are behind
a proxy and running snv for that user for the first time follow:
Run the svn command for some seconds and terminate with CTRL-C
cd ~/.subversion
edit [global] section in file servers to match the proxies seen:
[global]
http-proxy-host = proxy
http-proxy-port = 8080

now continue

make shure http_proxy is set from here, if needed

I needed to rerun the pkgtool several times to get everything
compiled.
