Build for ce .net 5.0

Hi,

I am a hang glider pilot and have an in-car navigator that is an ideal size (small) for a hang glider flight computer. From what I can glean from the web the device has a Sirf Atlas II CPU (dual core arm9) and is running windows ce.net 5.0 core version. I am trying to compile a standard version of xcsoar to run on it.

The standard Altair executable runs on the device, so it is possible, unfortunately I cant get to the configuration menu for this build so can't get it to connect to the gps :-(. I have compiled the source code for a standard ppc2003 device, the exe runs OK on a PDA but does not run on the device (the Altair version wont run on the PDA so no surprise).

What I would like to know is what tools and setup I could try to build the code for my device? Does anyone know what tools (embedded vc++, visual studio, etc) and settings (target etc) are used to build the Altair code, or have any other idea's of what I could try for my hardware?

Thanks,

Dave

(Sorry for this being a similar post I made to the user group a few days ago, I thought this was a better place to post)

I have manged to get my personal navigator working (just put the details on the user group).

If there are no objections I would like to add another build for windows ppc2003 core devices that does not have so many dll dependencies. It would just a a separate build project / workspace, and probably a few code changes in #define's to ensure it doesn't break any other devices.

Dave.

Hi David,

Good news!  Yes I think it might be a good idea to produce a new
platform.  What to call it though?  People already get quite confused
about which version to download, we have to make sure that having yet
another build doesn't compound the problem.

Btw, where did you put the details?
