A couple of things using yesterday's CVS on Suse 11.0, KDE 3.5.9

Go to the toolbar settings, add or delete an item from the main toolbar, press
accept and the toolbar disappears.  Exit Kmymoney and the following crash
occurs:-

System configuration startup check disabled.

On restart the toolbar is back with the added (or deleted) item actioned
correctly.

Another issue is that auto-entry of scheduled items does not seem to be
happening any more, have to manually enter the impending or past date item.

This is a known problem which I have investigated already but my knowledge on
the KDE internals is limited. Maybe, I find some literate person at akademy
over the weekend who can take a look.

Something I am not aware of. I'll take a look.

Are both - the per schedule and the global - options turned on to enter
scheduled transactions automatically? (I did not check it myself yet but

Hi Thomas

The "check on start-up" box was not ticked.  Is that the one?  Not sure
of its purpose, if I have ticked the actual schedule auto-enter box why
would I want another setting to override it?

Yes, that's the one. I am not sure why we have it, but I think added it so
that we have a global switch to turn this feature off completely w/o going
through all the schedules individually. Don't know about you, but I have 48
schedules in my file.

Do you have a better wording for this option? I am happy to modify it if it
makes more sense to the user.

maybe it would also be useful being able to define per schedule how many
days in advance it should be executed.

Wonder if it would not be better to have the "turn off schedules
globally" option in the schedules page itself?

Another point, just tried to load my kmy file via smb - i.e. it is on my
other computer.  It fails to read the file.  Is this an Kmymoney issue
or my set-up?

We don't turn them off globally, we just turn off auto entry upon startup.

Shouldn't be a problem. I tested it just using the fish:// protocol which
works fine. So I assume it's more an issue of your setup. In case you have
mounted the smb drive it's a local file to KMyMoney anyway.
