Brighton users?

Hi,

I know there's a few other SuperCollider users in or near Brighton, but I haven't met most of you... so I was wondering if there'd be any interest in some kind of meeting, either for drinks in a pub or possibly we could book a room at the University of Sussex campus where we could bring laptops and show off our work.

Nathaniel

Hi Nathaniel, if you're available, feel free to drop by the computer music 1 class this Thursday morning 11am in Arundel 221 if you want to hear some random SuperCollider and make contact ;   )

drinks in a pub also good sometime in a wider Brighton sense beyond US; we can discuss off list if necessary

Hey,

I've just got back into SuperCollider after a couple of years out, so I'd be up for a meet. I'm based in Brighton :)

Hi Nathaniel

A beer sounds very good to me. Perhaps you can collect the names and we
organise a meeting offlist?

Thor

What a delightful slip (or not one?): wider Brighton sense beyond US.
I thought Brighton was in the UK, and so was perhaps the author of the above message, but then thought better and looked it up in Wikipedia. See the list below. So which Brighton do you mean? Perhaps there should be a "Brighton all over the world SuperCollider Users Group".

Respectfully yours,

I think the author in question means that Brighton is a state of mind beyond humanity,
thus attainable to everyone on this list.

Or perhaps he was referring to "University of Sussex" which happens to be in Brighton?

Ahh, that's quite handy since I just moved from Brighton.  You can
find my code in the pebbles on the beach.

Hi Nathaniel,

I'm in Brighton too, and will be studying at Sussex in the autumn. I'm always trying to explain Supercollider to people, so a bit of other peoples perspective would be great - I'd be up for meeting. Nice one, let me know.

Andy

Hi,

I live in Brighton as well but not a student. I've only just started using sc3 and only finished 1 app but got another on the go. I was using sc1 for 7 years up until last year. Would love to see what others are up to on it.

Neil
