Baby needs new shoes - shop recommendations?

Hey all,

I've got a three week trip on the Feejer coming up in a couple weeks
(:P) and am going to err on the side of caution and get some new tires
before I tackle it.  Are there any decent shops who can get me
reasonably high-end tires at a decent price (smthng like Pirelli
Diablo Stradas)?  It would be a bonus if they don't freak out when I
ask them to change the tires on smthng "complicated" like the FJR (you
may laugh, but it's happened).

Fairfax Cycles (http://www.fairfaxcycles.com/fairfax_cycles_home_page.htm) has been very good to me.   Last time they sold me tires at their cost + $15 (20?) each (they know they can't compete with internet pricing, so came up with this way of doing it).  On Saturdays they do services on a walk-in first come/first serve basis.  Or you can schedule something for during the week.   They are located near Fairfax Circle (near Patriot HD if that helps).

If you go there, tell them I sent you.  I've sent a few people their way so far.  Maybe I'll get a free toaster or something.  ;-)

Thanks Louis,

They sounded competent, were within a few dollars of most online
prices, had reasonable installation charges and knew that the FJR
needed the "fat pig" E-spec rear tire.

Order is placed, hopefully I'll have new skins Saturday morning. :)

I've also had good experiences with Fairfax Cycles.  Highly recommended.
