Aspect ratio for letterboxtcprobe gives on the original:
[tcprobe] MPEG program stream (PS) [tcprobe] summary for video.mpg, (*) = not default, 0 = not detected import frame size: -g 624x256 [720x576] (*) aspect ratio: 1:1 frame rate: -f 25.000 [25.000] frc=3 PTS=0.2400, frame_time=40 ms, bitrate=9800 kbps audio track: -a 0 [0] -e 48000,16,2 [48000,16,2] -n 0x2000 [0x2000] PTS=0.2400, bitrate=192 kbps -D 0 --av_fine_ms 0 (frames & ms) [0] [0] I've tried encoding with both ffmpeg and mencoder. In both cases mplayer will play the file ok, but after dvdauthoring and mkisofs mplayer will not set the correct aspect on the resulting dvd. Any ideas? Why are you bothering with letterbox? That's just wasting precious pixels. Use anamorphic instead. ------------------------------------------------------------------------- SF.Net email is sponsored by: Check out the new SourceForge.net Marketplace. The original file is already in letterbox. Do you mean there is a setting to convert to anamorphic in dvdauthor, or that I should convert before using dvdauthor? > > ------------------------------------------------------------------------- > SF.Net email is sponsored by: > Check out the new SourceForge.net Marketplace. > It's the best place to buy or sell services > for just about anything Open Source. > http://ad.doubleclick.net/clk;164216239;13503038;w?http://sf.net/marketplace > _______________________________________________ > Dvdauthor-users mailing list > Dvdauthor-users@... > https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/dvdauthor-users -- There is a natural hootchy-kootchy to a goldfish. -- Walt Disney ------------------------------------------------------------------------- This SF.net email is sponsored by: Microsoft Defy all challenges.
