Aquamacs nigthly builds and cursorI have noticed a strange behaviour of the nightly builds (PPC and
Intel). With a LaTeX file, there is a gap between the mouse clicked-position and the aquamacs text cursor. With a --- say --- 10 lines paragraph, the gap is nil on the first line and becomes 5-10 characters wide on the last line of the paragraph. I'm not sure I understand what you're saying there, but I think I know what you mean since I've seen this happen before. It would help if you could send the exact file that you were editing (to me personally if you'd like confidentiality) and describe where you clicked to the point. This would help me reproduce the problem. Also, you can download a nightly build tomorrow (not today!) that will contain a few changes to the code. It's so difficult to me to explain it accurately in english :-( I realise that the problem occurs with any text file. Suppose you type (without carriage return): one two three four five six seven one two three four five six seven one two three four five six seven one two three four five six seven one two three four five six seven on the first line : if I mouse-click on the "o" of "one", the aquamacs blinking cursor places itself before the "o" of "one". on the last line : if I mouse-click on the "o" of "one", the aquamacs blinking cursor places itself before -- for exemple -- the "f" of "four". I notice the same behaviour on my PPC and Intel Macs. May I add that I never noticed that with 1.4 (or previous) release. The other good thing is that after last night's fixes, I can't reproduce it with today's build of Aquamacs. Can you confirm? Thanks for reporting this. - David -- http://aquamacs.org -- Aquamacs: Emacs on Mac OS X http://aquamacs.org/donate -- Could we help you? Can you confirm? I confirm. With the : "latest Aquamacs Emacs nightly is Aquamacs-2008-Jul-25-Fri-1440.tar.bz2" all is OK.
