Request for Change of PMC chair for Apache Labs

Dear board,

what follows is a request for a resolution that would change the PMC
chair from myself to Bernd Fondermann, who has been elected by the
Apache Labs PMC after my spontaneous resignations as chair.

My resignations have no meaning other than publicly admitting that I'm
failing to donate enough energy to this project and I'm not able to
provide the necessary oversight as PMC chair. Since I don't expect this
to change in the future (my next job will keep me even more busy, if
possible), it's better for me to step aside and let others that have
more vested interest in the project take my place.

Note that I will try to continue to be part of the labs PMC in the
future and keep an eye on labs development.

Change the Apache Labs Project Chair

WHEREAS, the Board of Directors heretofore appointed Stefano Mazzocchi
to the office of Vice President, Apache Labs, and

WHEREAS, the Board of Directors is in receipt of the resignation of
Stefano Mazzocchi from the office of Vice President, Apache
Labs, and

WHEREAS, the Project Management Committee of the Apache Labs
project has chosen by vote to recommend Bernd Fondermann as the
successor to the post;

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that Stefano Mazzocchi is relieved and
discharged from the duties and responsibilities of the office of Vice
President, Apache Labs, and

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that Bernd Fondermann be and hereby is
appointed to the office of Vice President, Apache Labs, to
serve in accordance with and subject to the direction of the Board of
Directors and the Bylaws of the Foundation until death, resignation,
retirement, removal or disqualification, or until a successor is
appointed.

What are the issues? Should work within eclipse with no problems. I am
using Eclipse and Junit as well for testing.

Yeah, I thought I fixed the problem when I updated the spring core
version the last time. I saw this error before as well.

last weeks (at least I thought so).

Are you using the latest HEAD?

What java version are you using?

It works for me with java version "1.5.0_11" following the above
instructions. Can you please try again?

Refactored the method Simple.hasNext() and Simple.next() to call getToDoTasks() only once for performance (this getter returns a clone array).
The method next() had to be synchronized o maybe the bean Simple has to be defined as "prototype" in the spring context.

I just made the "Committers" role in LABS include the "all-developers"
group. I guess that's the best approximation of all Apache committers.

I applied the patch but cannot close the issue. Can somebody give the
rights to do so.

I guess all committer should be able to close issues in the Labs issue
tracker since we all can commit to the code base as well.
