If you like old 'trons (Tubes in other words) you might be interested in
this lovely bit of furniture:

American
Bosch
Model 48aa
39-6427
39-6318

Condition: Good!
- Case 9
- Dial 7
- Plays 8
- Sound 8

Basically Working: Requires new power cord for safe operation.

There are so few of these radios that information about it is hard to find.
The internet shows only a few other 48aa's and none with this exact model
number or case.

The power cord is very old and the internal insulation is cracking under the
cloth exterior so I don't feel comfortable listing it as completely working,
but I have plugged it in briefly and it picks up very nice sound..

I'm not at all sure that the phonograph is original. It appears to have been
added after the fact.

The rear panel has been replaced with new wood. The hinges for the top are
also new. You can see this in picture 18 above.

Shipping this item would be VERY difficult and I would not feel comfortable
making any guarantee against shipping damage. I can hand deliver the radio
for an extra $50 within 2 hours drive of 92027 (Escondido, CA), but for more
distant destinations, you should contract with a service to package and ship
the radio for you.

It's a beauty, but I think Shirley, MA is a bit more than 2 hours away.

Not receiving mails

Hi James and Admin staff.
For some reason I don't receive mails from the list any more, since May
29th.

Is there anything wrong with my account?

well thank you for your excellent work during almost 15 years.... just to
make you cry, James:

********************************************************************
A few months back, I solicited interest in an email list covering pic
(uchip) microcontrollers. A fair number of people responded positively.

After much slothage, I finally got something set up: pic@...

A few things:

1. This list could go away at any time.

2. For the time being, please send list addition/removal requests to the
list iteself. Within the week, there should be a separate address to deal
with administrative issues.

3. It may take a few days to get added-to/removed-from the list. Your
patience is appreciated.

4. Please don't widely publicize the list until the
administration/operational details are finalized later this week.

-jory bell

wow! what a journey!, congrats guys!
