<br><br>I can see the new way i the right one, but is there any way wich can get us around with those 23 character sequences already generated so having tables max length 20 chars and sequences 23 ??

<br><br>I want to use AndroMDA and EJB3 cartridge in a big project with many people working at the same time on the model. To do so I splitted my model with Magic Draw in submodels. The problem I encounter now is about table names : if two people give the same name to a class in two different submodels, I will have two relational tables with the same name.
<br><br>To solve this problem, I think about creating a tagged value @andromda.persistence.table.prefix. This tagged value would be set on packages in model, then it would be used as a prefix for table name of entities in the package. For example, let's say I have some classes called A and B in a package with prefix tagged value set to PRE, tables generated would be PRE_A and PRE_B.
<br><br>To do this, I try to change EJB3 cartridge. But I can't understand how to retrieve package for my entity. In cartridge metamodel, I added a <<metafacade>> EJB3PackageFacade class. This class inherits from <<metaface>> Package class and has a tablePrefix property.

You can do this by clicking on each transition and watching the trigger field in the property panel. Add a trigger either by rightclicking on the empty trigger field or click on the selector for events in the top left of the property panel.

<br><br>This task will connect to your database, read its schema and generate a XMI file with classes that correspond to your tables. You should then be able to open this XMI in your modeling tool (eg, ArgoUML).

<br>Maybe you could use reverse engineering from your UML modeler ? And then add AndroMDA annotations and tagged values to the model.
