An exchange of links amongst photographersIs anyone here aware of any protocol or precedent regarding the exchange of links
amongst photographers in order to enhance search results with google, et al? I'm adding some direct stock sales to my website over the next 30 days. I'd like to have a mutually beneficial exchange of links with photographers outside my commercial market (Nashville TN). My former website received many requests for local stock but the cost of fulfillment was so high that... you know the story. With optimization for google image search and direct download for low-res web uses I believe that a medium sized metro area could result in a steady, albeit modest, stream of income. E-mail me via my website if you are aware of any existing method of photographer link exchanges or if you are interested in exchanging links for this purpose. Kind regards, Mark http://www.markmartinphoto.com |

The success rate is fairly low but is worth it over time. As a start, here is our links page: http://www.acclaimimages.com/links_out.html Assuming you have a legitimate photography based site we will link back to you and you will have a link from a PR4 page on a site with a top-ten listing for the term, "stock photography". That will get you on Google's radar or move you closer to the center, as the case may be. Best of luck! Fred Voetsch Acclaim Images http://www.acclaimimages.com/ |

Re: An exchange of links amongst photographersMark, for me the only acceptable protocol is first to ask the
person/firm you would like to exchange links with if you may place a link to them on your site. IMO, any other procedure is rude and presumptuous. Linking to another site is like recommending that person for employment. I'm going to be certain I can be proud of that person's performance and reliability. --- In STOCKPHOTO@..., "Mark Martin" <mark@...> wrote: > > Is anyone here aware of any protocol or precedent regarding the exchange of links > amongst photographers in order to enhance search results with google, et al? > |
