Amarok not rembering track information

I've noticed for a while that I've had difficulty setting the rating of a
track to a half (e.g. 3.5 or 4.5) but it hadn't caused me much problems. Last
night however, I noticed that after I'd entered a rating for certain tracks,
Amarok didn't store it. Also, tracks I'd played were coming up as being
unplayed.

This is with Amarok 1.4.9.1 on KDE 3.5.10 (Kubuntu 8.04) with a sqlite
database.
