Take a look at the other products they sell: a variety of Tornado Fuel
Savers (basically little fan blades to put into the intake),
HyperGauss Fuel Atomizer (a magnet that attaches to the fuel line),
the HyperForceSystem to "optimize ignition efficiency", and a few
"voltage stabilizers". Interesting choice of inventory...

It looks like they are buying Coastal E-Tech's little EV mode gadget (costs
$45) and reselling it for $59.  They even "borrowed" Coastal's photo.

No matter where you buy it, though, you are NOT making the Prius into an EV.
All of its motive energy still comes from gasoline.  You're just delaying
the fuel consumption by a few minutes.

And according to some of the guy at the Prius-2G Yahoo group, this gadget
actually reduces fuel efficiency because, they say, the car's computer knows
better than you do when to run on battery only and when to start the engine.

So - sorry, no matter how hard we might wish it were, the Prius is still not
an EV, and no $45 or $59 gadget can make it one.  However, I suppose it
might give some non-EV people enough of a taste of the EV grin to want a
real EV.

Add the plug that Toyota brags that the Prius DOESN'T have.  Then we'll
talk.  ;-)
