ANN: 1.0.7RC1 with Safari support

[ANN] Ajax4jsf version 1.0.5 has been released

The version 1.0.5 of Ajax4jsf has been released. The binary and source
distribution are available at:
https://ajax4jsf.dev.java.net/nonav/ajax/ajax-jsf/download.html

We have realized that people continue to report the FireFox cache problem we
fixed with 1.0.4MR1. So, we have decided to release 1.0.5 to avoid this
problem for people who download only the official releases and never read
additional instructions (i.e. most of us :-) .

In the version 1.0.5 we have the following changes:
- A4J Undefined message in FireFox caused by browser cache issue is fixed.
- a4j:repeat is enhanced.
- Fixed problem with two or more a4j:poll on the page and added RFC 2068
'chunked' encodings support
- Corrected ViewHandler registration process for JSF 1.2

ANNONCE: Ajax4jsf version 1.0.4 has been released

The version 1.0.4 of Ajax4jsf has been released. The binary and source
distribution are available at:

Additional to the bug fixing and some framework improvement, version 1.0.4:
- introduces the initial version of <a4j:repeat> component that is able to
re-render selected set of rows by ajax.
- adds ajaxOnly attribute to a <a4j:keepAlive /> for restoring a bean value
in case of AJAX requests only
- makes some steps toward the compatibility with IE7
- adds ajaxSubmit attribute to the a4j:form. This allows to use many
third-party components ( MyFaces tree, treeTable, paginator etc ) as
Ajax-enabled
- voids the requirement to register third party View Handlers in the web.xml
instead of faces-config.xml
- adds "layout" attribute to <a4j:include> tag, render it as <span> or <div>
element
- updates inclided by a4j:include content if navigation occurs for ajax
requests

Ajax4jsf 1.0.4 . pre-release, RC4

This is not an official release yet.

Most likely, this RC will be a release, actually. So, check it if you plan to upgrade the version in your environment.

You need to download this single jar file and replace the existing ajax4jsf.jar in the WEB_INF/lib.

Additional to the bug fixes, RC4 has a solution for using Myfaces dataScroller without any modification in the component itself. You need to just use a4j:form instead of h:form around and set "ajaxSubmit" attribute of a4j:form to true.

Ajax4jsf 1.0.4 . pre-release, RC3

This is not an official release yet.

As feedback shows, people do not like to read the documentation. Especially, the Ajax4jsf Developer Guide. The most common problem causes tons of side effect is an order of View Handlers. Now, change the strategy and will put Ajax4jsf viewHandler at the right possition from phase listener at startup. So, the requirement like remove facelets view handler from the faces-config.xml and put it into web.xml is dismissed. However, the parameter will still work. You will be able to define the init position for the several View Handlers if you have them.

Additional changes:

ajaxOnly attribute is added to the a4j:keepAlive. Now, you can keep the instance during the Ajax request, but have it freshed during the non-ajax request.

added lazy initialization of debugLifecycle and Lazy contextFactory initialization . The problem appeared with regions and spring should be gone

corrected initialization of the ajax requiest status in AjaxContext

ANN: Ajax4jsf 1.0.4 . pre-release, RC2

This is not an official release yet.

The goal of this RC was the "A4J Undefined" message appeared when Ajax4jsf could not recognize that the javascript should be loaded. It used to be happen with Facelets in particular situations.

So, people who met such problem might try this pre-release to be sure this problem will not appear in the future.
