Airship Times Contributors WantedI've come across a new site called Zimbio which allows users to create an online magazine that can be edited by users, they call it a wikizine!
To see how this would work, I started Airship Times a few days ago. I'm able to set my blog address, ping it on request and then instantly add my posts to Airship Times (or any other relevant wikizine). My point is - anyone who wants to contribute can sign up for a free account, add their blog (or write new articles) and then post them to the Airship Times online magazine. There is no referral payment and I don't get paid for the ads on the site, so please don't think I'm doing this for myself. It just seems like a great way for all of us to contribute on a single project. Tell me what you think. Duncan Rice the past, present and future of airships : blimpship.com |

Re: Airship Times Contributors WantedInteresting concept. It looks very close to a blog though. Is it meant
to have a feeling of having "issues", or be more dynamic like a blog? I presume the "news" section is filled by a google type search? If so, I'd suggest adding "-led" to the search phrase (to avoid all the Led Zeppelin bits). Re: Airship Times Contributors WantedYou're right about the '-led' search, I'll have to give that a try.
In repect to the 'issues', it does appear very much to be a blog. The difference, for me, is that it is set up in a wiki style so that anyone can write articles and post them to the magazine. This enables anyone to become a contributor either by writing articles through their profile page or, the better option, adding your rss feed for uploading your existing content. If this idea doesn't progress, my original idea was to put an article directory on my website, allowing anyone to sign up and post articles. the past, present and future of airships : blimpship.com |
