AfterEffects like timeline component

Hi.

I'm no expert in Flex, but not a novice either.

I need to create a timeline component, similar to that of AfterEffects in
Flex (see attachment).
First, I'd like to know if anyone knows of a component like this already
implemented or extended...

Second, I'd like to get some ideas on how to implement this. I was thinking
DataGrid for the left part with all the tweaking, and a custom list
ItemRenderer for the right part. I also need to support zoom capabilities
for the right part (so that the scale of visible frames changes with the
zool level) so I'll also need interaction between the inner components and
live update of scrolling etc.

I'd appreciate any pointers or references you experts out there can provide.
