Heya,
I've finally managed to get gnome-lirc-properties into Fedora, after
quite a bit of patching both lirc and g-l-p itself.
Now I'm wondering how I can offer users a better experience by offering
decent defaults for a few applications that use LIRC.
What would be the best way to allow applications to have default
bindings, but still allowing setup in ~/.lircrc?
Note that gnome-lirc-properties allows changing which "action" is
generated when a key is pressed on the remote, so a user that has a
remote with a "menu" key would be able to bind an unused key to it
without having to modify any files by hand.
Cheers
