Hi brawndo,
I had the same problem and solved it by setting height="auto" on the
accordion tabs.
It works well in (at least) firefox and ie, and you don't have to cope
with the components heights that vary between browsers.

If this "feature" was not planned, it would be nice to have something
like that (I mean something we can rely on and that keeps there in the
next releases).
If it was planned, it would be nice to have it documented.
