Hi,

look in the
/atg/dynamo/Configuration component. You should see a property 'compileCommand' with a value of 'javac -target 1.3 -classpath {1} -d {2} {0}'.

Try changing the target 1.3 to 1.5 or 5 (I'm not sure about the actual value to set when refering to Java 5).

Anyway changing this is pretty dangerous. You should try better to install the 1.3 JDK, if it is possible in your environment.

Getting the below error while accesing the index page when trying to login..

This sounds more like a frame/link problem than anything else. Have you tried testing this with plain HTML links and see if you can reproduce the problem? If so, then its not a DSP tag issue.

Hi,

how to redirect to the original page which contains 'frames' ?

eg: I have the page A, from this I click a link called help, it goes to help pages.. from the help page
there is a previous href, on clicking this it should take us back to page A.

It is working fine if the page does not contain Frames, but if the page contains Frames, it is not loading it porperly..(ie not loading the complete page).

Remove the mxmlc.jar from classpath and everything works fine.

Suppose I have an item descriptor product and there are a property atgref and locale. Both are described as below :-

Now, In my code I have to find what kind of category this property is in since I have to show list of properties in a group made on basis of category. Like this I have to show group of properties in category physical specification, electric specification of a product then what is the ATG Api for Repository Item to fetch this category value of it.

ATG installation on the MAC

Hello, my team is trying to install ATG 2007.1 on OSX(both Leopard and Tiger) and we are running into an issue where the installer just hangs at the following screen. We are using Java 1.5.0_13-119. Its does create the /opt/atg directory and a /opt/atg/.ASE2007.1_config/config/ subdirectory but that is about it. It never returns or shows us any error. We followed the blog entry that everyone points to but the blog does not help us since the installer never finishes:

ServletContext and ATG Dynamo Application Server

Hi everybody.

I try to move a piece of J2EE code, which is successfully running on WAS 5.1/6.0/6.1, into ATG DAS 6.3, in which is currently running a Web Application made of JHTML pages and Java code.
I state I'm absolutely new to DAS architecture and framework.

What I have to move
I have a very simple web-appl, made of 1 servlet and 1 JSP page.
In the servlet, I put some data into the ServletContext, using the setAttribute method. In the JSP I retrieve that data with the following piece of code (Java scriplet inside the JSP page):
getServletContext().getAttribute("xxxx");

What problem I have
I "translated" the JSP page back to JHTML page (I know DAS supports JPS pages, but I have to do my code working inside a "legacy" JHTML application).
I manually deployed the servlet (as a jar file) and defined a .properties file to let DAS see it; I also put the servlet into the Initial.properties, as I have to do start it at the AS startup.
I see the servlet starts correctly (I could verify it looking at my log).
The problem is I'm not able to access the ServletConfig attributes from the JHTML page. Every attribute I seek it's null.
It seems like the Servlet and the JHTML page run inside two different contexts (and perhaps it's so, remember, I'm new to DAS).
Supporting this is the fact if I change the code in the JHTML page as follow, it works:
getServletContext().getContext("/").getAttribute("xxxx");

Any suggestion?
I miss something critic (likely it is)?
Does DAS act differently than WAS?

Do you have a component named /atg/dynamo/service/jdbc/sqlPool? Your emp.properties seems to have a dataSource property that points to that component. The default DataSource component name is /atg/dynamo/service/jdbc/JTDataSource so perhaps you just need to reconfigure your component?

Can you post your emp.properties for review?
