Thanks in Anticipation.

There are all kinds of references to documentation in this forum.  The main source for ATG documentation can be found here - http://www.atg.com/repositories/ContentCatalogRepository_en/manuals/ATG2006.3/  (depending which version you are interested in).

Seems ATG changed their policy of their information sharing policy.
The entire site including the URL
http://www.atg.com/repositories/ContentCatalogRepository_en/manuals/ATG2006.3/
is protected and are made available only to PAID users.

I don't believe that's true.  You do have to register on the web site now, but you don't appear to have to be a paying customer.  I was just able to register as a new user and get access to white papers, documentation, etc. instantly.

Hi,
Its true, they only provide docs of ATG2006.3 to paid users, its not for everyone. By the way can any one help me with a problem am facing.

I have made a EAR of my proj using the runAssembler.bat tool provided by ATG, I included the DAF.Ear.admin module also, though the admin module also got deployed but it is not allowing me to login using the user name admin and password admin which are the default.
I gave the following URL: http://localhost:8080/dyn/admin
I am using JBoss404 on Solid Database and ATG2006.3
Pls help
Thanks
Binish

Check the logs and see if

1) the /dyn/admin mapping is valid
I think JBoss will log some messages about that when it starts the web admin war file. If it isn't, make sure the assembly of the ear succeeded and that the web-app for the admin module was included.

2) that your database connection is working properly
If you get JDBC errors either because the database is not started or not configured correctly, then when the web admin UI tries to verify your credentials, it can't since it can't connect to the database

3) If all the above works properly, then check the contents of the das_account table and make sure there is data there. If there aren't any records, the server will initialize the table with default data at startup... so you can try clearing it out in case someone changed the password.

Hey george,
Thanks for the Mighty help,
You second point solved my error, actually, my database wasn't configured. Now everything seems to be ok.
The third point you specified hits as news to me, could you please explain me a more on that, where do I find that table schema.
One more thing is while assembling my application along admin portal  I had to include DPS-UI, is it also required to access the admin portal.
Thanks in adv
Binish

Please can anyone help me with this error in ATG. It is a seniario manager error I anticipate. I am pasting some part of the log. I have the AbandonedOrders.sdl file and Set Last Updated action in that. This error appears while starting my JBOSS server.

Kindly do NOT share the PDF files.  The ATG product documentation is accessible to customers and partners with MyATG accounts.  Distributing the PDF files is a violation of copyright.  Don't do it.

First, you can find information on how to register for the certification on the atg.com website:

http://www.atg.com/en/support_services/education/certification.jhtml

Second... I don't know why people with little ATG experience (have you guys even taken the recommended ATG training courses??) insist on taking the certification exams. Can someone explain this reasoning to me?

If you are thinking of becoming certified, then here is what I would suggest:

- Start by taking the recommended courses. Only exception would be those of you that have been working closely with ATG technology for a couple of years, but even then, it might be a good refresher anyway.
- Get the recommended amount of field experience (as listed at the link above). This isn't just there for no reason... you have to use the product to really be an expert.
- Follow the registration instructions on the ATG website to schedule a time for when you can take the test.
