Re: ANN: SmartSVN 4 RC4 availableHello,
There are some bugs detected. Using the Repository browser : Select a file (not a directory). Copy / Move on a file : the « To » contains the « directory/file » displayed in « From », treated as a directory itself, plus the filename. Sometimes, combo boxes are as wide as the screen. I simulates this problem in SmartSVN 4 RC 4 three ou four times, but I couln't find a way to reproduce it every time I want. The last time, that was when opening Repository > Open in the browser. I precise I'm currently using Linux (with Java JDK 1.5) and KDE as graphical environment, maybe the problem depends on the OS ? It is difficult to add a new directory using the repository brower. The Modify > Create directory function is enabled only when selecting a directory. Scan a directory to display files contained inside and select a file. The function is now unavailable (OK). Click on the same directory from the left panel (directory that was selected), the function is still unavailable. You have to select another directory to enable the functionality. If you select a file then another directory than the previous selected, that works fine. From SmartSVN, Window > New Repository Browser. On the Browse Repository dialog that is opening, click the button Cancel. Repository > Manage profiles, then click cancel (or OK) : 2 exceptions are raised. Will be fixed with next build. > Sometimes, combo boxes are as wide as the screen. Re: ANN: SmartSVN 4 RC4 availableHello,
On the Check Out dialog, choose a project having trunk, branches and tags directories. For the location, select the root directory of the project. Click the Check-Out button on the dialog box. In the Target Directory, select the « Relative to repository root » radio button. Try to do the check-out. It failes. No problem if you select another directory than the project root directory, or if you select another radio button. On the SmartSVN project window, the last column on the right is no longer resizable. -- Best regards, Sebastien [Non-text portions of this message have been removed] ------------------------------------ Yahoo! I have tried this combination and several others, but I could not reproduce any problem here. With which error message does SmartSVN fail? Is the assembled "Checkout Directory" on the "Target Directory" page correct? > On the SmartSVN project window, the last column on the right is no longer > resizable. Re: ANN: SmartSVN 4 RC4 availableHi,
The assembled "Checkout directory" is correct. It contains the same string as "Local directory" finished by a backquote. The error is : « svn: Working copy "D:\test\' locked; try performing 'cleanup' ». I am under Windows XP with Java 1.5 and SmartSVN 4 RC4 (but also simulated the problem under Linux Mandriva, Java 1.6, SmartSVN 4 RC 3; and Linux Debian, Java 1.5, SmartSVN 4 RC4), administrator. The directory « D:\test » may or may not exist before the checkout (same problem in the both case, without an existing directory, and with an already existing empty directory). The drive D: is a local hard disk drive. SmartSVN creates the directory « d:\test ». It contains only a « .svn » directory. Nothing else is created. The project is not added to SmartSVN. I simulate this on all projects we have. You would be able to simulate it also with the dump file I send you few days ago. Do you want step-by-step screenshots ? -- Best regards, Sebastien 2008/7/3 SyntEvo Support <smartsvn-support@...>: > Hello Sebastien, > > > On the Check Out dialog, choose a project having trunk, branches and tags > > directories. I have tried to reproduce this with your paths and your test repository, but it works for me, however I have no trailing backslash. Can you please send me screenshots of the filled "Location" and "Target Directory" pages? -- Thanks in advance, Marc Strapetz _____________ syntevo GmbH www.syntevo.com "Sebastien Daloz" <sebastien.daloz@...> wrote: > Hi, > > The assembled "Checkout directory" is correct.
