A minor email problemOver the weekend I upgraded my system to OpenSuSE 11.0 from OpenSuSE
10.3. I have most of my config files saved, so I copied my /etc/postfix/main.cf and set up my sasl password for Comcast as my relay host. No problem. (Except that claws mail didn't work for a few days unrelated to this). But now, my system is treating all <name>@blu.org as being on localhost. I've had a similar setup for years treating my system as gaf.blu.org. Looks like there is some parameter in postfix that I failed to set or have set incorrectly, so I'm just looking for a possible clue. I'm also frazzled at work. I have 7 new servers, and they don't take the new memories we bought for them. All are Supermicro X7DB8+ boards. The old memory was 4 1GB chips, the new memory is 4 4GB chips. We made sure that we bought memories that have been tested by Supermicro. One thing I will be testing today is a new BIOS. -- -- Jerry Feldman <gaf@...> Boston Linux and Unix PGP key id: 537C5846 PGP Key fingerprint: 3D1B 8377 A3C0 A5F2 ECBB CA3B 4607 4319 537C 5846 _______________________________________________ Discuss mailing list Discuss@... http://lists.blu.org/mailman/listinfo/discuss |

Re: A minor email problemIs blu.org included within the mydestination variable? This defines which
domains are local to your system. On Thu, 3 Jul 2008, Jerry Feldman wrote: > Over the weekend I upgraded my system to OpenSuSE 11.0 from OpenSuSE > 10.3. Re: A minor email problemmyhostname = gaf.blu.org
mydestination = $myhostname, localhost.$mydomain,$mydomain ^^^^^^ Thanks. I don't know how the $mydomain got back into main.cf as the line in my saved configuration is: mydestination = $myhostname, localhost.$mydomain In any case, problem solved.
