A bit of trouble with 4.68 and Mac OS 10.5.4

F,

Was running 4.60 via macports, but couldn't get decent OS detect for Mac
systems. Thought 4.68 would help.

Typically use NMAP via vpnTracker to scan and inventory my managed
networks.

With 4.68 I am getting this:

   Starting Nmap 4.68 ( http://nmap.org ) at 2008-07-17 08:32 PDT
Warning: Unable to open interface vmnet8 -- skipping it.
Warning: Unable to open interface vmnet1 -- skipping it.
Nmap done: 253 IP addresses (0 hosts up) scanned in 103.128 seconds

Which is incorrect and very different than what I was getting with 4.60

   nmap -A 192.168.170.2-254

How did you install 4.68? From source, or with the executable .mpkg
installer?

I don't know what could be causing this. Please send the output of
        nmap --iflist
for both versions.
