To put it into perspective:

"A 50mm lens used on a DX camera has about the same angle of view than a
85mm lens used on a 135 format camera".

Also, last I checked the noct was a Mnual focus lens; which means it
will not work on most modern Nikons (2 letter Dxx, Fxx) that no longer
allow to meter with MF lenses.

If you can afford a Noct, you're probably already shooting a body
which can meter with AI lenses. Most people don't buy $3000 primes to
put on their sub-$1000 DSLR.
