14tracks.com - should they go in MB?

Hi folks,

I've been following 14tracks.com since it launched - and if you're
unfamiliar with it, they release 14 tracks of a particular style. A
compilation, if you will.

Should these "releases" go in MusicBrainz. If so, what do I do about
label/catalog number?

I can't see any reason why they shouldn't be entered, but I figured
I'd run it past everyone before I dive in and add the back catalogue.

Thanks,
Ollie / aCiD2

yes.

14tracks is a project by the people at boomkat.com, and advertised
as such throughout the site -- I would say 'boomkat' is suitable as
a label.  The 'releases' are numbered (in the url), which might serve
as some sort of catalog #, but IMO it's not good enough for the
musicbrainz catalog # field, so leave that empty for now.  Have you
tried mailing them?  they seem like friendly people, maybe they
internally do assign some kind of catalog #?

Cool, yea - pretty much what I was planning on doing (using Boomkat as
the label). Hadn't thought about emailing, I'll get on that now.

Cheers warp :)
