Thanks for your feedback, Gale.

Changed README, removed the "-rc6" and committed the pending changes.

Posted 1.3.5 ANSI and UNICODE installers:

    http://audacity.sourceforge.net/files/audacity-win-1.3.5.exe

    http://audacity.sourceforge.net/files/audacity-win-unicode-1.3.5.exe

I hope these can be the release builds.

Thanks. I built from your "focus on OK" change to ShuttleGui.cpp
and it seems to work as intended. I committed another update
to README soon after yours, describing what (I think) will now be
the behaviour for custom dialogues, and adding the Linux project
rate/file import behaviour.

I had a look at the fix for the Preferences dialog etc, and given that
it can't be fixed properly if you want to release 1.3.5 soon, I agree
that settting the focus on OK is probably the best option. Can it be
fixed properly for 1.3.6? Please?

thanks,
David.

Thanks, Gale. But I'm not willing to spend the extra 15-30 minutes to
download your few changes to the README, to build and check two new
installers, and upload them.

So, my builds are the final as far as I'm concerned. Will generate zip
files from them and post them all on the server. Are the Mac builds and
tarball ready?

Thanks,
Vaughan

Oh, what the heck, I'll download your README changes and make new
installers, but post them directly to the server with the zips without
further testing.

In addition to Mac builds and tarball, are the news item and other
website changes ready ?

Thanks,
Vaughan

Thanks for checking it. Frankly, I think it's a fairly acceptable fix,
especially, as Gale pointed out, as applied to LADSPA and VST effects,
if you're trying a lot of them. We have some very high priority and
significant items for 1.3.6, so we'll look into a more "proper" fix once
we get those done.

Thanks,
Vaughan

I'd be happy enough either way, given 1.3.5 should only be live for about
3 weeks :=)

We were both updating README at about the same time (if I had spent less
time checking the rc was working OK, I might even have beaten you to it),
and when I saw your update to README and checked -devel list, your
message about posting the installers hadn't arrived.

In any case, the Known Issue about wxWidgets was wrong as far as it
stood, so for archive purposes if nothing else it needed to be put right.

> are the news item and other website changes ready ?

If you want me to do that, yes I can finish preparing the changes. I had
not done all that much so far, in case you were planning to do it
yourself anyway.  Happy to do it if you wish, might save you some
time.

No worries. Thanks for making it right.

I'm waiting for Sourceforge to let me post them anyway... It's really
choked today.

And I'm sorry for delaying on the Mac build.  Been busy with other things and
then I spent way too much time trying to get it to build for OSX 10.3 on
Leopard.  I just could NOT get it to cooperate, so after a while I contacted
Dominic and he agreed that 1.3.5 could be released to support OSX 10.4 or
greater...no support for 10.3.  In addition, he no longer has a way to test
under 10.3 anyway, so this may be a permanent thing.

However, I should have my PPC/Tiger machine back in working order soon, so I can
attempt the 10.3 or higher support again.

The builds that Paul are doing are 10.4 or higher with wxWidgets 2.8.7.  I
figure he can continue to build them that way and we'll probably just start
using them for future releases.

The one that I will be uploading tonight will be with wxWidgets 2.6.4.  (It's
already built, but I had to leave for work before I could upload it.)

Sorry for the delay posting this - I've been mowing the lawn for the
first time this year, to celebrate the fact it hasn't rained for three
days together, also for the first time this year.

To make sure it was caught, this version of the Mac build will be for OSX 10.4
or greater.  This is a change from previous 1.3.x releases which supported 10.3
or greater.  I don't recall if the pages mentioned OS requirements, but thought
I'd point it out just in case.

Yes, it has turned rather warm in the northern UK, hasn't it?  I
didn't have a jumper on yesterday for the first time since maybe
September/October (apart from my holidays) and on Monday we got
sunburned in Doncaster!

Noted, Leland thanks. http://audacity.sourceforge.net/download/beta_mac
does indeed say 10.3 is required so I'll change it to 10.4 and give a
direct link to 1.3.3 for 10.3 people.

Uploaded to http://audacity.sourceforge.net/files/

I also re-uploaded audacity-macosx-ppc-1.2.6-test.dmg to there as well
since the "For Mac OS X (PPC, other languages):" link on
http://audacity.sourceforge.net/download/mac points to it.  We'd removed
the file during cleanup, but I'd kept it just in case.
