Hi,

could everyone who wishes to be a mentor for the Jikes RVM in the Google
Sumer of Code make sure that they have applied. The deadline for student
applications is Monday. Mentors can already volunteer to mentor projects
that interest them. Soon mentors will be able to start scoring which
projects, from -5 to +5, the projects with the highest scores are the
ones chosen by Google for the SoC.

Related to this, I have 2 applications to be mentors from people I've
never heard of, Muhammad Umair and Anjani Kumar. Unless they or someone
who knows them can explain why they want to be Jikes RVM mentors I will
reject their applications as spam. If other people planning to be
mentors think I won't know them then please send me an e-mail to explain.

Thanks,
Ian
