If you got problems in setting up the brand-new Jython 2.5a1+ for PyDev 1.3.18
on Ganymed, this info might help:
I had to rename the jython-complete.jar to jython.jar (i.e. without the hyphen!)
in order to use it in the preferences dialog "Interpreter - Jython" in Eclipse.
There might exist similar problems if your paths include spaces.
