Silly me. I ordered the camera on Friday and then didn't see my camera
supported under gphoto...thinking I needed gPhoto to use my camera under
Linux. So, I posted this in fear. Now, I recant.
Yes, my Pentax K200D is a mass storage device.

what does "gphoto2 --auto-detect" report after plugging in? If USB PTP
